The Irish believed that the end of October was the day that the spirits can cross over, so they disguised them as monsters. They also said carved faces on the turnips. Because of that, the Catholic put the holiday in the 1st of November. And in the 17th century, Christians went to houses to houses for treats and returns for prayers. When the Irish immigrants came to America, they realized there were many pumpkins than turnips and were easier to cut. So we got the Jack-O-Lateran. After many years, the people had an idea for Halloween, we have a tradition of where we were costumed and go to houses to houses and get candy. And that’s the history of Halloween.
